National Museum of Woman in the Arts Wedding

The National Museum of Women in the Arts is not only a tourist destination but a wedding and event venue conveniently located close to City Center and the Washington Convention Center. This renaissance revival building is also within walking distance of many hotels and restaurants such as the Marriott Marquis, the Grand Hyatt, Momofuku CCDC, and Fig and Olive (some of our personal favorites!).

In this photo, the bride was getting ready in the Elizabeth A. Kasser Board Room just off the mezzanine overlooking the great hall. She opted for a non-traditional purple gown for the occasion. Her background in dance was obvious as she couldn't help but twirl and spin once she was ready. Basking in the sunlight from the large window, Jane noticed a reflection of the bride in a piece of art entitled "Virgin and Child" by Elizabetta Sirini in the room. It was one of Jane's favorite photos from the 2017 wedding season. This moment merited a silver award in the WPPI 2018 16x20 print competition.

While we don't go into a wedding day trying to create award winning images, we do look for ways to create a piece of art for every couple. We want to capture photos that are not only ones that you love, but that generations of your family will love as well.

For more information, please contact us at info@steveandjane.com to set up an appointment and meet us in person. We'd love to hear more about your wedding plans so we can create a piece of art for you!
