This simple and timeless moment between the bride and her father was captured at Springfield Manor Winery and Distillery in Thurmont, MD. With views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a lavender field, a bed and breakfast with your choice of several suites to prepare for the day, and your choice of the barn or reception hall, it's a perfect location to start your day as husband and wife.
The Manor is also home to the first distillery in Frederick County. The distillery is known for it's Lavender Gin made with lavender from it's beautiful lavender fields. The fields are a favorite backdrop for engagement sessions and wedding portraits in the spring. The purple blooms pop against the grey mountains.
The distillery is located in a refurbished bank barn. The distillery, along with it's tasting room can accommodate up to 150 guests. The ballroom, with it's views of the nearby mountains, can seat up to 300 guests. It's surrounded by a terrace, perfect for enjoying cool summer days and breaks from the dance floor during your reception. A stately fountain adorns the space between the barn and the ballroom.
Springfield Manor is also close to the quaint town of Thurmont. With shopping, hotels, and local one of a kind restaurants, your guests will find lots to do during your wedding weeekend.
