Photography is what we take for granted these days. With phone cameras so easily accessible, casual group photos are plenty and filling up our phone storage. While these images are fun to post in our Instagram feeds, classic family studio portraits are still heirlooms that have meaning in our fast-paced social media-obsessed society.

When cleaning out my grandmother's apartment, no one wanted her wedding china, but the photos were coveted and quickly grabbed. The connection between the present and the past is important. Time is fleeting and we often forget to take the time to memorialize what is soon to be our history.
