The early evening sun lit this newly married couple as they stood in the boxwood gardens of Raspberry Plain in Leesburg VA. Their wedding was an Indian American fusion celebration over several days in the DC metro area.
The day started at a nearby hotel. Leesburg has many hotels for your guests to choose from. There, we created some beautiful portraits of the bride, along with capturing the natural moments occurring as the bride was getting ready with her mother, sister, and bridesmaids.
After she was ready, the bride and her attendants went over to Raspberry Plain. If you don't want to get ready at a hotel, Raspberry Plain now offers rooms to get ready in on the second floor of the house.
This couple opted for a first look before their ceremony in the main hall of the house. This allowed time for family formals so that the family could go straight to the cocktail hour instead of waiting around for formals.
The ceremony was set up among the boxwoods. Rose petals lined the aisle leading up to the groom and the groomsmen. To the left of the space, the foothills of the mountains were green with new spring foliage. The bride made her way down the stairs and into the garden with her mother and father.
The reception hall full of large windows allowed for beautiful sunset light during dinner. As the light faded, the string lights and uplighting the couple chose for the space created a beautiful backdrop as they shared their first dance.
The couple had an open bar so they opted for shuttle service back to the hotel so all their guests could enjoy themselves. Everyone made it back safely after this festive wedding.
